After the competition, a series of further plans and agreements are necessary before building construction can begin.
On the one hand, under the leadership of the architect and together with museum experts, the planning team must develop the building further. They are responsible for specifying the building’s floor plan; meaning that they decide where the exhibition areas, storerooms, teaching rooms, and restaurants will be. In addition, they plan the façade’s material properties, its outer appearance, in detail.
On the other hand, the building authority must create the necessary technical conditions. For example, they test the soil at the building site and ensure that the utility lines beneath the construction area are moved.
